BST Design & Build offers contractor services for residential projects designed by architects and interior designers across Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. We welcome conversations about remodeling, home additions and projects involving several rooms.
Review the Scope
Share available drawings, specifications and the homeowner’s priorities. We can discuss existing conditions, construction questions, allowances and decisions that need to be resolved before work begins.
Coordinate the Details
Agree how selections, trade coordination, procurement responsibilities and changes will be communicated. Clear information helps the design team and homeowner make timely decisions.
Build with a Shared Plan
Construction follows the agreed scope and project documents. Questions that affect the design are brought back to the appropriate team members so decisions can be reviewed and documented.
A Clear Division of Responsibilities
Every collaboration starts by defining who is responsible for design, engineering, approvals, purchasing and construction. Your design services remain part of your own agreed role; our construction responsibilities are set out in the project agreement.
Before work begins, we establish the communication route, the drawing and specification set to be used, and how changes will be considered. Site discoveries and product substitutions are discussed with the relevant decision makers.
This approach can support a homeowner who already has a design team and needs a contractor to carry the approved scope into construction.

- Review the available information. Discuss drawings, specifications, site conditions, the intended investment range and timing.
- Agree the roles and scope. Establish responsibilities, communication, selections and the process for reviewing changes.
