Make Your Home Work Better
Plan improvements to your layout, kitchen, bathrooms and living spaces, with design, material selections and construction considered together.
What Your Whole-Home Remodel Can Include
Your project may involve several rooms, an entire floor or changes throughout the home. We start with what you want to improve—and what you want to keep—so decisions in one room support your plans for the others.
Connected Living Spaces
Consider how the kitchen, dining and living areas work together, including movement, sightlines and everyday routines.
Kitchens & Bathrooms
Plan layouts, cabinetry, fixtures and finishes alongside the needs of the surrounding rooms.
Materials & Lighting
Create continuity through flooring, surfaces and lighting while giving each room a clear purpose.
Storage & Function
Make room for the things you use and the activities your home needs to support.
Lower-Level Living
Consider the basement as part of the wider plan for comfort, storage and usable living space.
Layout & Building Systems
Assess existing conditions and the structural, electrical, plumbing or HVAC coordination your proposed changes may require.
Whole-home remodeling may be right for you when: several rooms need attention, a layout no longer suits your household, or you want to understand how changes in one area affect the rest of the home.

- How material availability affects the work sequence.

Plan for kitchen and bathroom access, utilities, work areas, pets and household routines before construction starts.
Whole-Home Remodeling Questions
Does whole-home remodeling mean changing every room?
No. It means considering related improvements as one coordinated plan. The agreed scope may cover several rooms, a floor or changes throughout your home.
How can we compare whole-home remodeling estimates?
Compare the same rooms, layout changes and level of finish. Identify included work, allowances, exclusions and specialist responsibilities. A room-by-room scope makes differences easier to understand than a single total or cost per square foot.
How long does a whole-home remodel take?
Separate design and ordering time from construction. Confirm which decisions and materials must be ready before each stage, especially when work spans several rooms. Set the target schedule around the agreed scope and any planned phases.
Can the project be completed in phases?
Phasing may be possible, depending on how the work connects, access requirements and the use of shared building systems. Discuss the practical effects on scope, timing and daily life before deciding.
Can we live in the house during the remodel?
This depends on whether essential rooms and utilities remain usable and work areas can be separated from daily life. Confirm the arrangement for each phase, including any period that may require temporary accommodation.
Do we need finished plans before contacting BST Design & Build?
You can start with your priorities, photos of your home and ideas or inspiration. Share any drawings you already have so the team can discuss the appropriate next steps.
Who coordinates structural and technical requirements?
BST Design & Build coordinates design, project management and specialist input within the agreed scope. Architectural or engineering involvement and qualified trade work depend on the project’s requirements.
Can we consider an addition as part of the remodel?
An addition and changes within the existing home can be considered together early in planning. Feasibility depends on the property, existing conditions and applicable project requirements. Explore Home Additions.
Where should we begin?
Use the consultation form to share the rooms you want to change and your main priorities. Our team will contact you to discuss your goals, project location, budget expectations and timing, then explain the next step.
